Our Story

Founded on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, Gateway is all too aware of the need for increased, professional entertainment opportunities in our region.  Our burgeoning population consists of many who move here from interstate and overseas, in search of a wonderful and full lifestyle, including a greater exposure to the arts.  We aim to meet this need by staging high calibre, professional productions, the likes of which the Sunshine Coast hasn’t seen.

The People

TRACEY FERGUSON Executive Producer
Tracey knows what it takes to build a business from the ground up. As a Certified Financial Planner® and successful business person, she has proven time and again that she understands the mechanics of a successful venture. She has now extended this expertise into the world of production, and is delighted to be able to mesh her business prowess with her passion for music and musical theatre. Tracey is committed to bringing the wonderful art form that is musical theatre, to as many people as she can.
PAUL LYNCH Creative Producer
Paul knows music…his musical career dates back to the early 80’s, and extends right through to the current day. Having been a professional musician with bands such as Scanners, Road-Crew, Playground, Varkar, Flying Colours, Big Dreamer and Intuition; Paul is a creative drummer who writes, designs and has promoted many of these bands.

Paul has supported some of Australia’s greatest bands and artists, including Australian Crawl, Dragon, Real Life, Renee Geyer, Radiators, ‘Ol 55, Machinations and Col Elliot. Turning his hand to musical theatre in 2015, he was an integral part of a 6 piece, driving rock band, playing drums in the successful production of Grease – The Musical. Paul is dedicated to ensuring each show is tight. His creativity and attention to detail leave no stone unturned.

LUCAS D. LYNCHMusical Supervisor/Principal Musical Director
Classically trained at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Lucas is an accomplished pianist and musical director. He is an experienced repetiteur for Queensland Ballet, QUT Ballet and the Queensland Dance School of Excellence; and has musically directed many productions, including Pirates of Penzance, Grease, Wizard of Oz and Jesus Christ Super Star. Lucas’ forthcoming projects include musical direction for Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins. He recently returned from the USA, where he was awarded for his musical direction expertise at the 2016 i-Theatrics Junior Theater Festival. Lucas is currently studying his Masters in Conducting at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
